Haynesville and Eagle Ford: Where the wells are
Despite a down year for the energy industry, companies are still actively drilling. P2 Energy Solutions’ Tobin Map Data reveals new permits and completions for wells in the active Haynesville Shale area and the Eagle Ford Shale.

An overview of permits from January through August in the Haynesville area shows a peak in activity in June, but a drop-off in July. Because August is the most recent month, it is likely that the reporting cycle has not finished, so those numbers will likely rise a bit.

Note: Completed wells are only wells that were drilled and finished. They are not necessarily producing wells.
